The other day Susan Haithcock asked if Ka Hten could fix her portable sewing machine. I took it to his house and he spent a few hours with it and had it working like a charm. It was great to see him conduct a mini-sewing machine clinic as we returned it to Pastor Ron and Susan today. Before Ka Hten came to America he was a tailor, manufacturing various kinds of clothes. However he had never used a power sewing machine, always a treadle. Now he owns an industrial grade sewing machine and is repairing and tuning up electric sewing machines which were gifts from American friends. In December 2008 he got a full time job with Artistree in Kernersville which manufacturers pictures for Michaels.
