Exciting Sundays Ahead

This Sunday the Lao congregation has further organized their transportation ministry.  Besides the numerous people who pick up riders with their cars, they are renting a bus from the Wesleyan Transporation Administration to make four stops on Sunday morning.  Bah Blue Htoo, Aungn Mo and Paw Khee will be helpers on the bus.  John Butt will be the volunteer driver for the first Sunday.

Htoo Kler, who is blind, will be reading the Bible to everyone in Burmese using Braille.  We need to work on finding him other Braille resources.  I heard there are a lot of free books available.  I think Reader’s Digest is available in Braille as well.

Next Sunday Bethany Limpach will start teaching a formal ESL program at 9:30 and I will start teaching a Bible study in English for those Burmese with advanced skills in English.

Htoo Kler is a new arrival from Burma.  He lives with his sister Moo Whaa and her family.

About johnmcmurphy

Jesus is first and foremost in my life. He is above all religions, principalities and powers. In everything He must increase and I must decrease. Into the hands of Jesus, God has placed life and death, truth and purity. strength and meaning. Only in a growing understanding of the triune God, and his son Jesus can I do, breathe, exist and serve. I have a Bachelor's degree in Bible from Vennard College, a Master's in Social Science from Azusa Pacific University and a Ph. D. from Ohio State in Family Relations and Human Development. I am an ordained pastor involved in cross-cultural ministry. I am currently employed at several colleges as an instructor. If you need to get in touch with me, just leave a comment, I screen all comments and so you can leave further contact information which I will erase before it is published. -John
