Pastor Inthava Wept

Pastor Inthava’s eyes were full of tears as he told me this story.  He went to pick up a new family of three, that arrived in America 3 weeks ago.  The father does not yet have a job.  They had asked for a ride to church.   As the man got in the car he handed Pastor II his 1 to 10 offering.   He said he had received from the Lord and wanted to give back to God.

To put this in context, Pastor I. I.  and I had been praying about how we would be able to raise the $30 a week it will cost to rent a bus to bring people to church.  When we saw the faith of this new arrival God encouraged us that the money we need to pay for transportation will come as we are faithful in serving the Lord.     My eyes were also wet as we finished sharing this moment of blessing from the Lord.

Nate said it best a couple of posts ago with his comment. I wish people here had the same level of commitment to God as this Burmese man does.
