Answered Prayer – Here to Burma!

KhupNan Lian KhupNan Lian Khup arrived in America about 7 months ago.  He fled his country because of persecution. From Malaysia he emigrated as a refugee, to America.   Before he left Southeast Asia he visited his family one last time several years ago.   He had to leave Burma and has not yet met his youngest son.

A couple of months ago Khup attended the Empty Nest Care Group of High Point First Wesleyan Church and we prayed together with him for his wife.   At that time the doctor said she was facing an hysterectomy, which would cost about $1000.  Khup got a job in housekeeping at our local hospital and has been sending money to his wife.   She went for a further X-Ray and they discovered no trace of her previous problems and will not be doing any surgery.   Rejoice with us as this family works on plans to reunite here in America.

Jesus is first and foremost in my life. He is above all religions, principalities and powers. In everything He must increase and I must decrease. Into the hands of Jesus, God has placed life and death, truth and purity. strength and meaning. Only in a growing understanding of the triune God, and his son Jesus can I do, breathe, exist and serve. I have a Bachelor's degree in Bible from Vennard College, a Master's in Social Science from Azusa Pacific University and a Ph. D. from Ohio State in Family Relations and Human Development. I am an ordained pastor involved in cross-cultural ministry. I am currently employed at several colleges as an instructor.
