Lao FWC Study Group

Two weeks ago we began a study group composed of two Laotians, Sam and Vanphy and two Burmese, James and Nan Lian Khup  who are learning to drive a bus.   An additional Burmese gentleman named Thang Lian Taung, will join the group next week.  Bus Study

The Lao church is looking toward the future as we plan trips and have new arrivals who need transportation to church.  Together the group is studying the North Carolina CDL License Manual and working on some sample test questions.   When the group has mastered the questions they will work with our WTM on the practical driving skills.  A couple of these Burmese men drove heavy equipment and various trucks in Malaysia before coming to America.   They see their bus studies as a means to get better jobs.

About johnmcmurphy

Jesus is first and foremost in my life. He is above all religions, principalities and powers. In everything He must increase and I must decrease. Into the hands of Jesus, God has placed life and death, truth and purity. strength and meaning. Only in a growing understanding of the triune God, and his son Jesus can I do, breathe, exist and serve. I have a Bachelor's degree in Bible from Vennard College, a Master's in Social Science from Azusa Pacific University and a Ph. D. from Ohio State in Family Relations and Human Development. I am an ordained pastor involved in cross-cultural ministry. I am currently employed at several colleges as an instructor. 1. This is awesome, how they’re willing to get involved in helping out the ministry. I’m sure there a lot of obstacles for them with both the language and understanding the road here, but kudos to them for being willing to learn.
