Newest Reader of my Blog

Josiah with his Family and Cousins  The newest reader of my blog is my seven year old grandson.  His name is Josiah.  He just read the post about the snake.  Here is an Easter picture of him with his family and cousins, he is the one with his mouth open, the nephew of Nathan (the guy with the teeth).

Josiah, I wanted to tell you about some of the children attending our church.  These children come from Burma.  Most of them cannnot speak English when they get here, but at school they are learning to read and speak English quickly.   Our church has some wonderful people that are teaching these children about Jesus from the Bible.  Here is a picture of a group of children that attend our Sunday school, some of these are Burmese.    Josiah would you pray for these children that they will grow up to love Jesus?   Would you pray that they will find friends who love the Lord?   Would you pray that all their fathers will be able to find jobs so that they can buy groceries and pay the rent for their home?   Would you pray that the bicycles their fathers ride to work will not be stolen?   Would you pray with them for their aunts, uncles and grandparents back home in Burma so that they will be safe?  Thank you Josiah for googling to find and read my blog. – grandpa

About johnmcmurphy

Jesus is first and foremost in my life. He is above all religions, principalities and powers. In everything He must increase and I must decrease. Into the hands of Jesus, God has placed life and death, truth and purity. strength and meaning. Only in a growing understanding of the triune God, and his son Jesus can I do, breathe, exist and serve. I have a Bachelor's degree in Bible from Vennard College, a Master's in Social Science from Azusa Pacific University and a Ph. D. from Ohio State in Family Relations and Human Development. I am an ordained pastor involved in cross-cultural ministry. I am currently employed at several colleges as an instructor. If you need to get in touch with me, just leave a comment, I screen all comments and so you can leave further contact information which I will erase before it is published. -John
