They Led the Blind Man to Jesus

I wished you could see him, for several Sunday’s Zaye Muang, nicknamed “Thomas” has made sure that blind Htoo Kler gets to church.  I see them walking down the hall with Htoo Kler gripping Thomas’ arm as they navigate our First Wesleyan church building.  Thomas was not able to be here this Sunday but he had Lal Li Pui nicknamed Puh Yah to take care of Htoo Kler.

This Sunday our English speaking Burmese class studied the account of the blind man in Mark chapter 8.  The Scripture says that the friends of the blind man brought him to Jesus.  Think about it, it was their faith that made it possible for the blind man to come to Jesus.   After they got there, then the Bible says that Jesus led the blind man out of the village.  What an honor to be the one to lead another to Jesus and then watch Him take over to heal the sick person.

About johnmcmurphy

Jesus is first and foremost in my life. He is above all religions, principalities and powers. In everything He must increase and I must decrease. Into the hands of Jesus, God has placed life and death, truth and purity. strength and meaning. Only in a growing understanding of the triune God, and his son Jesus can I do, breathe, exist and serve. I have a Bachelor's degree in Bible from Vennard College, a Master's in Social Science from Azusa Pacific University and a Ph. D. from Ohio State in Family Relations and Human Development. I am an ordained pastor involved in cross-cultural ministry. I am currently employed at several colleges as an instructor. If you need to get in touch with me, just leave a comment, I screen all comments and so you can leave further contact information which I will erase before it is published. -John
