Stiven Got his License
Stiven has been with us in High Point since Kay and I started working with the Burmese. At our bowling outing in January he had the highest score. He is a twenty something single adult who lives near the hospital. He can understand English fairly well and speak some basic English. About 4 months ago he got a steady job at Artisan in Kernersville. A couple of weeks ago he was able to buy a 1995 Honda Civic. Yesterday he got his drivers license.
Stiven is the son of an Burmese itinerant evangelist. He had to leave the Chin state of Burma because of persecution for his Christian faith. He fled south to Malaysia and worked in the capital city as an electrician’s assistant for a couple of years before being accepted as a refugee to the United States. Stiven is a regular attendee at our First Wesleyan church and now he is helping with our ministry transportation needs.
