Welcome John Paul Family

This week we had several new families and individuals arrive in America.  We will try to get pictures for you in the next couple of weeks.  One of the families that arrived is that of Hang Khan Pau.   His nick name is John Paul.   This gentleman is Chin, from the Zo village.  He speaks good English.  His families names are as follows:   Nem Lam Dim (wife), Thang Za Lian (older son, 5 years), and Khwp Mwan Lian (younger son, 3 years).   As with all the Burmese, they only have one name, and no last name.   But in this particular village the first syllable of the child’s name is the last of the grandfather’s name.  We want to extend a warm welcome to America!!

May 21, 2011 – John Paul and his family continue to live in High Point. They attend Grace Church.    A Mizo Chin family now live about a block from their house.

About johnmcmurphy

Jesus is first and foremost in my life. He is above all religions, principalities and powers. In everything He must increase and I must decrease. Into the hands of Jesus, God has placed life and death, truth and purity. strength and meaning. Only in a growing understanding of the triune God, and his son Jesus can I do, breathe, exist and serve. I have a Bachelor's degree in Bible from Vennard College, a Master's in Social Science from Azusa Pacific University and a Ph. D. from Ohio State in Family Relations and Human Development. I am an ordained pastor involved in cross-cultural ministry. I am currently employed at several colleges as an instructor. If you need to get in touch with me, just leave a comment, I screen all comments and so you can leave further contact information which I will erase before it is published. -John
