Habitat for Humanity selects Nyein and Sharon for Home
Great news, Nyein and Sharon met with the Habitat for Humanity people and will be having a home built for their family of five in the upcoming months. They have attended several meetings and orientation in the process and now they are awaiting the “building” of their home. As recipients they will be giving 750 hours of “sweat equity” toward Habitat’s projects including helping to build their own home. Read more about Nyein under our Life Stories Category on this blog.
Nyein has been a key translator for Pastor Inthava on Sunday mornings. The reason Nyein is so helpful is that he can speak Thai, Burmese, English and S’gaw Karen. Pastor Inthava has switched to preaching in a Thai/Lao dialect for his congregation and then one person translates in S’gaw Karen and another into Burmese.
