Their World is getting smaller, while their Horizons are Expanding!

This week we have seen great progress among the Burmese in regards to transportation.  Eh Le Say has purchased a Ford Taurus, gotten it titled and himself licensed.

Peng Len Thakbal passed his driving test and received his license this week.  Now both he and his daughter Frosintina can transport their busy family.   Peng Len no longer has to ride is bike to work (try 2 miles in the rain before your shift).  Eh Htoo, Savy, Eh K’ Lu, Christina, Tun Tun Win, Aung Htoo and several others have their driving permits and are needing lessons.

When a Burmese person begins to drive it is easier to get around and what was a long bicycle ride, walk, or ardous bus schedule now is easier making the world a little smaller or more manageable.   By the same token, the possibilities of shopping at Wal-Mart or the Saturday Thomasville flea market become more feasible because of transportation.  Visiting friends across town can now be more frequent.    Getting to church on Sunday without help is now possible!

Jesus is first and foremost in my life. He is above all religions, principalities and powers. In everything He must increase and I must decrease. Into the hands of Jesus, God has placed life and death, truth and purity. strength and meaning. Only in a growing understanding of the triune God, and his son Jesus can I do, breathe, exist and serve. I have a Bachelor's degree in Bible from Vennard College, a Master's in Social Science from Azusa Pacific University and a Ph. D. from Ohio State in Family Relations and Human Development. I am an ordained pastor involved in cross-cultural ministry. I am currently employed at several colleges as an instructor.
