Intractable Situation, No Problem-God

Over the last couple of years since we have been involved in ministry with the Burmese in High Point we have watched the daily crisis of high unemployment.   Then as the economy took a downturn in recent weeks the situation intensified.   When we realized this was something way beyond us, God had already prepared a solution.  purdue-product

Yes that is right, chicken.  Purdue Farms in Rockingham, NC began looking for additional employees.   They offer a starting wage of $9.60 an hour (higher than many jobs in High Point) and now they are telling the World Relief staff they will take any refugee arrival that passes their health screening.    They have onsite Burmese translators and are higher our people as soon as they arrive.

The other part of the solution was transportation to the plant which is an hour away from our church community.   The Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (PART), has a proactive vanpool  program that is providing transportation for our commuting workers.   Family after family now have workers with gainful employment.part-van

All glory be to God.  He is absolute famous for being right ahead of us with a solution.   He is the Provider.  He has plans beyond our imagination!  Is it an intractable situation?,  No problem – God.
