Figure out how God is saying yes.

On Sunday our pastor, Rick Kavanaugh finished his Palm Sunday message with a thought about God’s sovereignty.  He said that when we have prayed in faith for any matter, and if we seek God’s will, His intervention, then we need to begin looking at how God is saying yes!!.   That means, that even if the circumstances do not occur according to our ideas or plans, we need to remember God has a bigger picture in mind and many more resources and He will provide an answer, in His way and according to His time table.  Our job is to try to figure out how God is saying “yes” and and to get out of the way.

I guess when things haven’t gone the way I have wanted (and prayed) with some of my Burmese friends like Bah Blue moving to Salt Lake City or jobs not being immediately available for many new arrivals I need to refocus on how God is working all things according to His purpose in His time.

About johnmcmurphy

Jesus is first and foremost in my life. He is above all religions, principalities and powers. In everything He must increase and I must decrease. Into the hands of Jesus, God has placed life and death, truth and purity. strength and meaning. Only in a growing understanding of the triune God, and his son Jesus can I do, breathe, exist and serve. I have a Bachelor's degree in Bible from Vennard College, a Master's in Social Science from Azusa Pacific University and a Ph. D. from Ohio State in Family Relations and Human Development. I am an ordained pastor involved in cross-cultural ministry. I am currently employed at several colleges as an instructor. If you need to get in touch with me, just leave a comment, I screen all comments and so you can leave further contact information which I will erase before it is published. -John
