It’s Your Serve!

My greatest desire for the reader of this blog is that you find a way to serve God each day.  As Kay and I listen to God, by getting into his Word, He directs our path in ways to serve Him.  Over and over again I have seen how He as gone ahead of me to guide us to an effectual ministry.  To Him belongs all the glory.  He is famous for all the good things He does.

By the way, when you see or hear of something the McMurphy’s are doing among the Burmese, my only desire is that it spur you on to find how you can serve.   Jesus said if we only do acts of charity before people to be seen by people we have our reward.  My focus is on our eternal reward but my goal is to see more people become more involved in serving the Lord.    So look around you, look in your community and find a place to serve.

In working with our Laotian pastor and leadership I have found a ministry with our new arrivals from Burma.   After I finish my regular job, I am constantly finding new things and helpful things I can do to serve Jesus.   They are just basic practical things but Jesus talked about giving a cup of cold water to others in His name.   Come on and find real fulfilment and meaning, get involved!

About johnmcmurphy

Jesus is first and foremost in my life. He is above all religions, principalities and powers. In everything He must increase and I must decrease. Into the hands of Jesus, God has placed life and death, truth and purity. strength and meaning. Only in a growing understanding of the triune God, and his son Jesus can I do, breathe, exist and serve. I have a Bachelor's degree in Bible from Vennard College, a Master's in Social Science from Azusa Pacific University and a Ph. D. from Ohio State in Family Relations and Human Development. I am an ordained pastor involved in cross-cultural ministry. I am currently employed at several colleges as an instructor. If you need to get in touch with me, just leave a comment, I screen all comments and so you can leave further contact information which I will erase before it is published. -John
