Zero Sum Game, No Way!!

Recently I watched a video produced by France Chan’s group at CrazyLoveBook.com, entitled The Awe Factor of God.  As Chan showed our massive planet earth, in perspective to the sun, our galazy and the Milky Way, I was impressed by the fact that our God has unlimited resources, boundaries, assets, clout and power.    Often times we in our strength fall into the trap of thinking, “If I do this, I can’t do that”.  But we forget that as we do what God wants there are no limits to what He can do through us.   When you find a ministry and mission for your own life you will find God multiplies your time, strength and resources instead of subtracting it from some arbitrary life allocation.

img_4415  We have several friends involved in ministering to the Burmese in our ESL class:  Klo Say, Nyein, Gary and Kaye Mills, Macia Jobe, Betsy, Kay and myself.   Often times when we come home on Sunday from serving we find more inspiration and sense of purpose because we have found a place to be used by God and are serving Him.

About johnmcmurphy

Jesus is first and foremost in my life. He is above all religions, principalities and powers. In everything He must increase and I must decrease. Into the hands of Jesus, God has placed life and death, truth and purity. strength and meaning. Only in a growing understanding of the triune God, and his son Jesus can I do, breathe, exist and serve. I have a Bachelor's degree in Bible from Vennard College, a Master's in Social Science from Azusa Pacific University and a Ph. D. from Ohio State in Family Relations and Human Development. I am an ordained pastor involved in cross-cultural ministry. I am currently employed at several colleges as an instructor. If you need to get in touch with me, just leave a comment, I screen all comments and so you can leave further contact information which I will erase before it is published. -John
