I thank God for Every Remembrance of You!!

Yesterday in our Sunday morning Bible study we were looking at the opening verses of Philippians.  Paul said “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you”.   We stopped for a few minutes and thought about those for whom we each thanked God.  Klo Say mentioned a classmate, I thought of my former pastor Al and and his wife, Harriett Barrett and then I heard from others with fascinating stories.  Sharon’s father who is a pastor in the refugee camp is never far from her heart.  Nyein said at one point he was living in a predominantly Moslem area and a Moslem friend of his asked if he would like to go to the Christian church.   The Moslem friend took him to the Christian worship service.

Biak shared that when he was going to Bible school, near the border of India, he was really needing more money to continue his studies.  He met a driver, a stranger to him, who talked with him and then began to give a regular amount of money each month to support his studies.

Jesus is first and foremost in my life. He is above all religions, principalities and powers. In everything He must increase and I must decrease. Into the hands of Jesus, God has placed life and death, truth and purity. strength and meaning. Only in a growing understanding of the triune God, and his son Jesus can I do, breathe, exist and serve. I have a Bachelor's degree in Bible from Vennard College, a Master's in Social Science from Azusa Pacific University and a Ph. D. from Ohio State in Family Relations and Human Development. I am an ordained pastor involved in cross-cultural ministry. I am currently employed at several colleges as an instructor.
