Government Smack Down of Ler Per Hur

IMG_3543Before you look at the links below, I would like you to read two previous posts about our church’s involvement in the Ler Per Her village of Burma.  Last year Klo Say told us about his wife’s brother serving as the principal of an orphanage/school in exile.   This school has had to relocate numerous times to avoid shelling and military attacks.  At Christmas time we sent them an offering from the Lao congregation.  Be sure and look at the pictures at this link, it will put human faces with this situation.

Now in the last two weeks it seems the government has attacked this defenseless village.  The orphanage/school is on the run again.  They, along with many others, have fled to the Thai side of the border.  Klo Say’s brother-in-law, the principal, and all the children are in extreme danger.  Please read these links for details and perspective.  -Thanks Klo Say, for your help in getting us this current information.

About johnmcmurphy

Jesus is first and foremost in my life. He is above all religions, principalities and powers. In everything He must increase and I must decrease. Into the hands of Jesus, God has placed life and death, truth and purity. strength and meaning. Only in a growing understanding of the triune God, and his son Jesus can I do, breathe, exist and serve. I have a Bachelor's degree in Bible from Vennard College, a Master's in Social Science from Azusa Pacific University and a Ph. D. from Ohio State in Family Relations and Human Development. I am an ordained pastor involved in cross-cultural ministry. I am currently employed at several colleges as an instructor. If you need to get in touch with me, just leave a comment, I screen all comments and so you can leave further contact information which I will erase before it is published. -John
