Ler Phaw helped with Bible translation
Sunday I talked with JB, a missionary involved in Bible translation work. JB has just finished translating the Bible into the Karenni language for the Kayah people. He has been completing the project stateside, living right here in the Triad. In a couple of weeks he will be returning to Southeast Asia
His key assistant for this project was a refugee who has now resettled in High Point. Saw Ler Phaw arrived last week and lives in an apartment on Ardale. He speaks English, Karen, Karenni, Burmese and Thai. The Thai is important because Pastor I.I. is fluent in Thai. Attached is a picture of his family along with Ma Nay Htun their neighbor. Ma Nay Htun and her husband, Be Aye have been showing these new arrivals the ropes.
