Last week was a difficult week as we experienced the loss of Thah Naung.   He died from injuries sustained in a car accident last Saturday.  Thah Naung was a widower who arrived in the United States in March of 2008 along with his father, brothers and daughter.   Almost immediately after he arrived his daughter was taken in by his sister’s family to be raised.

Thah Naung was traveling in a car with friends on a fishing outing.  The driver lost control of the car,  it swerved onto the shoulder and into a tree.  After emergency treatment Thah Naugh returned home the next day but complained of much pain.  He was admitted to the local hospital but succumbed while under treatment.  We will miss Thah Naung in our Burmese community.

Jesus is first and foremost in my life. He is above all religions, principalities and powers. In everything He must increase and I must decrease. Into the hands of Jesus, God has placed life and death, truth and purity. strength and meaning. Only in a growing understanding of the triune God, and his son Jesus can I do, breathe, exist and serve. I have a Bachelor's degree in Bible from Vennard College, a Master's in Social Science from Azusa Pacific University and a Ph. D. from Ohio State in Family Relations and Human Development. I am an ordained pastor involved in cross-cultural ministry. I am currently employed at several colleges as an instructor.
