One Year Feast
This weekend I was invited to a Burmese meal by some friends. I found out that normal meals include rice and vegetables. Meat is only eaten on special occasion (maybe once a year). At a recent meal they had several kinds of meats (pork, beef, chicken, mutton, liver) prepared for the guests as well as plenty of rice, vegetables and soup. In the Burmese culture, the large group meals are usually served family style sitting on a rice mat on the floor, utensils are optional.
