Call to Intercessory Prayer
About half of our Burmese men work for Townsend Chicken in two plants, one in Siler City and one in Mocksville. They just got word this week that both plants will shut down within two months. Now this seems scary and troubling but our pastor taught us this morning (7/31/11), that the “shadows” seems worse than the “reality”. I believe in a great strong God who has a plan that is even better than the 45 mile commute these men have made to work. Pray for just the right jobs to open up at just the right time. Our God is Great!
A number of Karenni men who live in Winston-Salem and attend Calvary Baptist Church also work at the Mocksville plant.
