They were big restaurant sized cans of corn.  One can got punctured by a forklift on the pallet and so the restaurant refused the delivery.  The truck driver was told to throw them away.  My son’s church, Providence Wesleyan thereby had over 100 cans sitting on tables in their fellowship hall.  Tomorrow the Refugee Welcome Network will be able to deliver 23 cans to our Burmese families.  Several families have 8+ people in the household, others can share a can with neighboring families.  This will be a fun Labor Day activity.

Update, Savy helped me and we made 19 stops to distribute corn to Burmese families on Labor Day morning.

Update, some people have wondered where they can buy large cans of food like this.  You can do so at Wal-Mart they have a special aisle with these large cans.   Also in Greensboro at Sam’s Club and Costco you can buy large cans.
