Fall First Rice Drive Winds Down
The Missions committee and community outreach team of First Wesleyan celebrated the blessing of 1775 lbs of rice brought in by the church family during the month of October. This rice will go to newly arriving émigrés and for refugee families with special circumstances. What a generous expression of kindness and service to God. A team of six Burmese men helped to get the rice safely stowed in a freezer until it is needed for distribution. This was another one of our First Rice drives, a semi-annual effort to gather rice to provide for the needs of our community.
