Samaritan’s Feet

I’ve been over at the Wesleyan Christian Academy all morning watching a powerful moving of the the Lord as academy students guided High Point guests in, measured their feet, washed their feet and fitted them into a brand new pair of shoes.   They did all this as a school after raising $10 per pair to secure the shoes.   The shoe ministry is organized by Samaritan’s Feet.   Their representative, Ibrahim Sani worked with Chaplain Paul Coates to set up this day of ministry.  Ibrahim sprained his foot a couple of days before this picture.  Watch this video about he and his ministry.

Among the 1500 people that showed up were about 170 Burmese, They are pictured in the slide show below.

About johnmcmurphy

Jesus is first and foremost in my life. He is above all religions, principalities and powers. In everything He must increase and I must decrease. Into the hands of Jesus, God has placed life and death, truth and purity. strength and meaning. Only in a growing understanding of the triune God, and his son Jesus can I do, breathe, exist and serve. I have a Bachelor's degree in Bible from Vennard College, a Master's in Social Science from Azusa Pacific University and a Ph. D. from Ohio State in Family Relations and Human Development. I am an ordained pastor involved in cross-cultural ministry. I am currently employed at several colleges as an instructor. If you need to get in touch with me, just leave a comment, I screen all comments and so you can leave further contact information which I will erase before it is published. -John

  1. John, thank you for this! How wonderful! I would love to hear from the participants, both students and those who received the foot-washings, prayers and shoes. I’m sure God showed up in ways they can’t even express!
