Live It Out – Missions DNA Therapy
First Wesleyan Church of High Point is getting ready for Live It Out day on March 31. Our church will be involved in many community projects including the distribution of an additional 400 pairs of shoes along side the academy. Among our recent Burmese homeowners, FWC will be building a deck, replacing another deck railing, planting a garden, installing a tub enclosure and doing some minor repair on a roof. Gary Mills just helped to finish a tub enclosure project for Peng Len. Mark Sigelin will be leading a team on March 31 to replace a deck railing and a minor roof repair for Thang Tlang and John Brand will head up a team to build a deck for Klo Say. John McMurphy will organize a team to prepare a garden bed for Klo Say as well. We’re excited about this chance to serve it’s coming up soon. Check out a previous live it out post here.
Now about that title of the post. It is the prayer of our church staff and missions committee that a missionary focus will be a fundamental value of our church. So we use the phrase “striving for missions to be in the DNA of our church. This Saturday event will give many people an opportunity to be “on mission” for a day.
