News from the High Point Burmese Community

A lot of our focus is on preparing for “Live It Out” weekend, March 31.   We will be building and repairing a couple of decks and putting in a garden for Burmese families.

We’ve got some folks that are traveling these days.   Tun Tun Win, who works and lives in Rockingham has flown out of Greensboro to Thailand for a vacation.   Nu Nu and a couple of her girls have gone to see Frosintina and the grandson in Maryland.   A few months ago Ta Mla moved from Lumberton to Minnesota.  His sister Susanna also moved there and recently married a Karenni man.

Do it yourself:   Burmese readers when you are looking for a car or a washing machine trying using Craigslist.  Here are some instructions.   NeCe needed help fixing his computer so he skyped with his uncle in Australia and his uncle helped him fix the computer problems.

About johnmcmurphy

Jesus is first and foremost in my life. He is above all religions, principalities and powers. In everything He must increase and I must decrease. Into the hands of Jesus, God has placed life and death, truth and purity. strength and meaning. Only in a growing understanding of the triune God, and his son Jesus can I do, breathe, exist and serve. I have a Bachelor's degree in Bible from Vennard College, a Master's in Social Science from Azusa Pacific University and a Ph. D. from Ohio State in Family Relations and Human Development. I am an ordained pastor involved in cross-cultural ministry. I am currently employed at several colleges as an instructor. If you need to get in touch with me, just leave a comment, I screen all comments and so you can leave further contact information which I will erase before it is published. -John
