Updates in High Point
We continue to have 2-3 new families arrive from Burma each month. Some have relatives in High Point and others are bravely making a new life for themselves in the Carolinas. I met Peter and Mary and their son David a couple of weeks ago. They are Falam Chin. David, age 6, started at Johnson Global Elementary School last week.
This morning I found Pastor Cing Cing teaching a group of 5-6 Chin how to preach. They have various lay preachers to help with the Saturday night and Sunday morning services. Be praying that this goes well.
Johnson had a group of about 25 in his Asian youth class. All of these teens go to public school and can understand some English. About 1/4 of the children are second generation Lao.
