A Christmas Adventure, and the Story Goes On

Been busy finishing up school but now we can begin putting the finishing touches on setting up a new home for Steven, Rai, Lidia and June.  Last Saturday Phon Theng, Thang Tlang, NeCe, Peng Len and Steven moved a lot of furniture thanks to the gracious gifts of the Guhrs, Winslows, Shulls and Farlows.  Here you can see a slide show of how the house is coming together.

Klo Say set up further processing appointments and until Steven gets a job (after ID is finalized) they will be going on food stamps in a couple of weeks.  In the meantime food will be needed and  FWC came through again.  Dusty Lucas allotted a portion of the recent canned food drive for this family.   I had Nu Nu, of our Refugee Welcome Network team, help pick out canned food this Chin Burmese family would need.

Yesterday Peng Len and Steven installed a needed mail box.  High Point City delivered a trash can   Today Peter, Sang Awi and Steven will move in a few more pieces of furniture and work on window treatments.  Thank you for your interest and prayers.

About johnmcmurphy

Jesus is first and foremost in my life. He is above all religions, principalities and powers. In everything He must increase and I must decrease. Into the hands of Jesus, God has placed life and death, truth and purity. strength and meaning. Only in a growing understanding of the triune God, and his son Jesus can I do, breathe, exist and serve. I have a Bachelor's degree in Bible from Vennard College, a Master's in Social Science from Azusa Pacific University and a Ph. D. from Ohio State in Family Relations and Human Development. I am an ordained pastor involved in cross-cultural ministry. I am currently employed at several colleges as an instructor. If you need to get in touch with me, just leave a comment, I screen all comments and so you can leave further contact information which I will erase before it is published. -John
