High Point had Snow Last Week
For some of the Burmese our Thursday night 3″ wet snow was the first they had seen. True-to-form the city was crippled with businesses closing, school letting out and everyone enjoyed an extra long weekend.
At our home we have been watching a red shouldered hawk that has taken up residence. From it’s markings Kay has determined it is just one year old. Maybe it will build it’s first nest in our yard. This is a recording by someone else that gives it’s sound. Our bird is pictured on this screen.
Last Sunday I preached in the Karen Burmese service, Klo Say did an excellent job translating. I was thinking I as I preached that we have about 10% who understand English fluently. For them they heard the sermon twice. I was proud to see Soe Meh and Ta Tae Poh stand to read some designated scripture in their Karen language during the message.
