Ku Moo’s Condition is improving
About 3 weeks ago Ku Moo [Ko Moo] was walking from her home on south Elm street to GTCC and was hit by an unlicensed driver. She ended up in Baptist hospital with severe injuries including a gash on her forehead and some broken bones. Last week on Monday I was able to visit her joined by Naw P Day and her daughter K’ Paw Taw. She was in a lot of pain and no one at the hospital (including the translation lines) could understand her. Since then our High Point Karen folk have visited her daily, her husband was able to come stay by her side in the hospital and she has been improving. Yesterday they removed the feeding tube. Today Ma Moo Htoo, who is a cousin of Ku Moo, that has been caring for Ku Moo’s 12 year old son and Pah Ker, One Kiss’s daughter, joined me to visit her at the hospital. They brought Burmese food and she was hungry. The nurse asked Pah Ker (translator) to tell her to slow down. Here is a picture of this dear family. Pray for her now as she needs physical therapy and a plan of how to get along at home. They live in a second floor apartment.
